The weather is finally getting nicer, in Arizona it great when the highs get below 100. Here is a recap of the last week:)

Busted!

We camped in our backyard, kids loved it. Ash asks everynight if we can sleep outside:)

Poor Rus took a biff off of our swings right onto his little face. It was so sad:(

I love the way Rustin talks so I have been trying to get it on video, I know he won't talk this way forever and I never want to forget it:)

Rustin's 18 Month Checkup

Took Rustin for his checkup today. He weighs 26lbs 10oz and is 33 inches tall. He is in the 60% for weight and 75% for height. We can't believe how good he is talking, the doctor was really impressed. He will repeat any word and most of the time it is understandable. He is forming short sentences, today he came up to me when Rocky wasn't home and said, "Mom, where dada go?" (he always says mom first to get my attention:)) and then he walked thru the house saying, "dada where are you." He also said today, "I want candy" in the most tired little voice when he was tired and upset:) He says "I love you" and "thank you" whenever you give him anything, it is the sweetest. He loves to point out facial features by poking your face off all day and saying eyes, nose etc! haha He pretends to eat fake food, makes car noises and LOVES to turn his toys upside-down and say, "upside-down." His favorite books are Goodnight Moon, Where is babies belly button, and anything with animals. He is starting the "I do it" stage and throwing more fits which has not been fun but he has the cutest smile in the whole world which makes it hard to be mad at him. He loves his sister and wants to do everything she is doing. He is still my snuggler and gives the sweetest open mouth kisses. He is a very loving and likable little dude:)

Rustin Walking!!

Rustin has finally decided that walking is faster than crawling. He has been able to take several steps for a while now but still preferred crawling as his main form of travel:) He is such a little ham in this video.

Rustin 10 Month Photos....

I missed the 9 month milestone so these are 10 month pictures:) They got some really cute ones and the photo shoot was done in like 10 minutes. Rustin is so smiley, the photographers kept commenting on how happy he was and how cooperative he was:) All they had to do was say his name and he would look and smile. Except for when we did the naked baby pics, after we took his diaper off he kept crawling out of the studio. I think he was trying to get away before we could put clothes on him, he loves to be the naked baby!

Halloween

Ashlyn loves tigers so we got her a tiger costume for Halloween! These two videos are from the day we bought the costume and the first time she tried it on, she was so hilarious! It was also the ONLY time we could get her to wear the hood!


This was us getting ready for a Halloween party we were invited to. Ash wouldn't let Rocky paint her face until we painted Isabella's face, then she was ok with it!

Rustin was a little white tiger, we even painted his face but it wore off quickly with all the slobbering:) His teeth are really killing him right now:( If you look closely you can see his one tooth. He has had one tooth for over a month it is so cute! Ashlyn's always came in pairs, I keep thinking his other bottom one is coming any day;)

Again face painting was still a challenge. Her face paint is only half done in this pic and she is ticked at us. lol


Finally finished the face paint now we are ready to go trick or treating:)

My mom and sister came down for the weekend too:)

Ashlyn and I going to get candy. She was so confused on why people that we didn't know were giving us candy but she warmed up to the idea quickly. When we went to the first house, the guy dropped candy into her bucket and she just starred at it for a second like, "you just gave me candy.... why..... cool!" It was a sucker which is one of her favorites (those and m&ms) so she grabbed it and wanted to open and eat it right there! It was difficult to get her off of his porch without a fit because she wanted that dang sucker. LOL

After trick or treating we went to a park that had family activities.

Ash won a magic wand, the guy didn't want Rustin to be left out so he gave him one too. I guess he thought Rustin was a girl:)

Ash on the airplane ride.

She did really well on all the rides except this one. About halfway into the ride she would say "all done" every time she would pass us, then at the end she started crying. It was so sad, I think she was just tired because we took her to the state fair the day before and she loved the rides:) This was day two of a really busy weekend and no naps, she was holding up pretty well considering:)

Stair Races and Rustin's 1st Solid Food.......

This is how Ashy comes down our stairs and she can haul butt! This was like the sixth race in a row and she started slowing down so it doesn't show how fast she can go. She goes fast when she gets a good rhythm.



We started Rustin on rice cereal. He didn't know what to think at first but he is starting to like it!

Now that is a Poopy Blowout!!!!

Rustin was outside in his jumper when this explosion occured! His foot was soaked in it and there was so much in the foot of his pj's that it leaked thru and stained the concrete! I'm going to miss those pj's! LOL Since we are already on the subject of poop, why is it that whenever we are leaving the house one or both of my kids poop their pants right as we are walking out the door? It is usually Ashlyn, which is never fun to change her diaper, but lately as I am changing her Rustin starts filling his pants! I don't get it and I still never calculate it into my plans, I probably need to start doing that so maybe we won't be AS late:)

Rustin's 4 Month Checkup and 1st Tooth....

Rustin had his 4 month checkup today. He is in the 95% for height and weight. He weighs 17.1 lbs and he is 26.5 inches tall. He is really strong, he rolls really well from his back to his belly then gets ticked because he doesn't want to be on his belly. He has rolled from belly to back several times but he doesn't always do it. He loves to be talked to and he definitely knows who his mama is:) Also, he was chewing on my finger tonight and his first tooth broke thru! It makes me a little nervous since I am still nursing! haha I will miss the toothless grins:) We are so lucky to have such healthy little babies:)

A New Bed and A Happy Baby....

So we decided to convert Ashlyn's crib into a day bed! She loves it!

The other morning at about 4 o'clock I peeked into Ashlyn's room to check on her and didn't see her anywhere. I figured she was on the floor somewhere so I got down on my hands and knees in her dark room and let my eyes adjust and still couldn't find her. I kind of started to panic and then I hit her in the head with my hand-this is how I found her.....

halfway under her crib in the darkest corner of her room! I don't know if she got up and was playing with those toys or what! I had to get a picture, good thing my camera has a good flash:) I had to drag her out from under the crib, luckily she didnt' wake up!

Isn't Rocky a good dad.....

Rustin is growing big and is such a happy little dude!!
