Rocky the Skydiver.....

Yes you guessed it! Rocky finally got to go skydiving today! I bought him a gift certificate for his birthday last year and he finally got to use it!
This was before the jump. I wanted one last picture of them before he jumped just in case!

This was after the landing. Rocky was really excited, he wants to get certified to jump now. (suprising huh, lol) He would love to get his days started by jumping out of an airplane every morning:)

Ashlyn's New Pool!

We took Ashlyn to a splash park a couple days ago and she loved it! The splash parks are nice because there is not more than 2 inches of standing water so Ashlyn can crawl around and play without us holding onto her like we do in a pool. There are lots of different types of sprinklers and kid toys that spray water. At first if one of the sprinklers by her turned on she would crawl away very quickly, I think it was a little game for her. But then she started going for the sprinklers and trying to grab the streams of water. We were so surprised at how much she loved it and didn't mind being sprayed with water. She could have cared less if Rocky and I were even around, she was busy playing!:) Everyone thought it was so funny that a baby was crawling around, all the other kids were atleast 2 or 3 years old but most of them were even older. I was sooooo bummed that we forgot our camera, ugh!! It was seriously the cutest thing and she was ticked when I picked her up to leave:)

We also bought Ashlyn her own little pool for the backyard! It is perfect size for her and the palm tree sprays water so to simulate the splash park:)

We had to put ice cubes in it to cool it down cuz 3 inches of water can get pretty hot when it is 105 outside!

Daddy loves the pool too:)

Happy Birthday Rocky!

Today is Rocky's birthday and probably the last year he will admit his real age since next year he turns the big 30! Haha Here are some of the reasons why Ashlyn and I love daddy so much!

Rocky is fun to cuddle with!

My little cousins even love to cuddle with him:)

He has a passion for airplanes, jets, military planes, you name it! He is determined to do aerobatics someday ( I can wait for that day, I am not ready to have a heart attack...J/K)

He is such a good dad and helps out a lot with Ashlyn.

Daddy lets me sleep wherever I want!

He plays with me in the bath.


And he gives me love when I need it!

Rocky loves getting outdoors and doing fun stuff!


And he especially loves Lake Powell!!! (One of his favorite places)

Rocky is the best teacher I know! He can teach anything and he always has pilot students requesting him cuz he is so good! (I wish I had pics of him and his students in their uniforms, bummer) He also teaches Ashlyn lots of stuff.

Daddy taught me how to crawl! (This video is hilarious, you have to watch it)


He is also teaching me how to swim!


And he will probably teach me how to fly an airplane someday!

Rocky has alot of determination, when he sets his mind to something he finishes it! Quick story: We went to Catalina Island with a big group of friends and some of us rented bikes while the others rented golf carts to tour the island. Those hills are so big on that island that all of us on bikes ended up getting rides on the golf carts cuz we were all dying trying to get up the hills. Rocky was the only one who rode all the way up and not because he rides a bike all the time and has alot of endurance, because he wasn't going to let the hill kick his butt!!!:)

He isn't afraid to be a kid or be the only adult playing with the kids!

Rocky loves his family! He really is the strength of the family through hard times, everyone always values his opinion and comes to him for advice.

He also works very hard to provide for our family and keep us all happy! Especially me since I can be kinda crazy sometimes:)

Ashlyn Milestones and Misc Pics!

Ok... I haven't posted a really long time! So many things have happened lately I'm sad that I haven't posted any of them. I don't have a job anymore but I am still just as busy, maybe even busier!!! Ashlyn has done a lot over the last month so here is a quick recap! I will post some videos soon too! I am so low tech that I don't know how to put them on the blog Rocky does it for me, lol. I am going to learn though soon!!!!

I love this picture!

Ashlyn started crawling a month ago so she gets into everything now! She can also pull herself to standing! We are in the middle of moving so we have boxes everywhere and far from a baby-proofed house. She tries to eat everything and is obsessed with eating carpet, paper and extention cords. She has toys all over the floor that are ok to chew on but she will crawl across the house to get a piece of paper or carpet, and she knows where the spots are that she can pick out the carpet pieces! It is really hilarious! When I try to fish stuff out of her mouth she will clinch her gums together so I can't steal her little treasures out of her mouth:) Ashlyn also got her first two teeth! They just broke the skin a week ago! Poor thing has been trying to get these teeth forever and they have been so painful for her! I will post of pic of them when they grow in:)

We discovered a cool feature on our camera. You pick what color you want to show up in your photo and the rest will be black and white! Here are a few pics!

We went to Moab last month and Rocky's mom had a luau at her house. This was Ashlyn dressed up for the party!

Life Being an At Home Mom!

Well here are the highlights of my first week being an at home mom! This was the first time Rocky and I have had a day off together, and not been out of town, since I went back to work. We used to work opposite days so on his two days off I would work all day. I'm glad we don't have to do that anymore, it was nice having two days off together:)

We took Ashlyn to the park one day! She loved it!

Ashlyn loves being outside in her stroller! She was so excited sitting there watching the birds and ducks. It is funny how kids naturally like animals, she loves our cats too!

It looks like this duck is doing yoga to me. I don't get how they balance on one foot while they are sleeping. (He was sleeping until I came up to take this pic!)

So exhausted! She loves cuddling this purple bunny while she is sleeping! I think it is cute, Rocky thinks she is going to have attachment problems! LOL

Our friend Allie had her first birthday so we got to go to her birthday party!

It was really hard for all the other kids to be patient while Allie opened her gifts, they wanted to just dive in and start opening them for her. They all did really well though:)

Allie was not sure why this big group of people was standing around staring at her and trying to get her to eat this cake.

We also celebrated my first mothers day! (Somehow I forgot to take pics of this event) Rocky got me a gift certificate for a full hour consultation at the MAC cosmetics store, flowers, took me to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner, and of coarse, made it possible for me to be an at home mom! Rocky definitely knew the perfect gifts for me on mothers day! Ashlyn pooped while we where at the Cheesecake Factory so that was Ashlyn's gift to me! She knows how much I love poopy diapers in public places, especially in really busy restaurants!:) HA HA

The second half of the week Rocky and Ashlyn were sick so I got to take care of them. This was Ashlyn's first cold, poor little girl just wasn't herself. Even though changing poopy diapers in restaurants and taking care of sick families aren't the funnest things about being a mom, I still love them and am grateful to be the one that GETS to do them:)
