Well Friday was my last day at the bank! It is weird, I keep thinking I have to go to work on Monday. It was a fun day though, we had a huge pot luck at the bank and I pigged out! We had pizza, brownies, cookies, all the good stuff that I haven't been eating lately since I am trying to loose a few lb's:) They gave me a sweet card that everyone signed! Rocky and Ashlyn came to visit and hang out with me for the last hour of work! I am now officially an at home MOM!!!! :-)

Some of my friends and I decided to go to this discount bulk food store the other day. They had these frozen bags of bread dough that are already rolled into long skinny loaves, like what they get at Subway. There was about 12 or 14 loafs in the bag for three bucks so Angela and I decided we would each get one. Neither of us knew what to do with them but we would figure it out right! Well when I got home I forgot mine in my car so four hours later I remember "oh crap, there is frozen bread dough in my car!" So I go get it and it is not frozen anymore but still cold so I figured I would throw it in the frig and deal with it the next day! Keep in mind I know nothing about bread. So the next day when I got home from work I opened my frig and there was a big monsterous blob of bread dough taking over my frig!!! I actually jumped when I opened the frig, it scared me! I wish I would have taken a picture of it, it had broken through the bag and was growing up the side of our water filter! I have never made bread in my entire life so I called my mom, "what do I do with this huge blob of dough that is no longer in perfect little loafs and is way too much for two people to eat?" So now it is crash coarse bread baking time for me! I am really winging it and hoping some of my bread turns out! I better be good at making bread after this! LOL
Now you all know my secret that I am not a cook! I know, poor Rocky:) HA HA
I wish I would have taken pictures of these events. It is so much more fun with pictures:)

First of all, Happy Mothers Day! Second, OMG that would scare me to, a loaf of bread taking over my fridge LOL! Congrats on your last day of work! Were you sad? We should get together and do some fun things this summer :)
Angie, Grampa and I laughed till we cried. That's the funniest thing I've heard about cooking since I was 20. My girlfriend had her mothers receipe for spudnuts so we tore in to it at her house. Being totally unlearned in the art of cooking, we didn't realize those were mighty big amounts of flour etc. It turned out it was a receipe for her church affairs and she thought we'd have sense enough to know that and cut it down, but we did not. We were frying those stupid things for 12 hours and had enough donuts for the whole town. We still laugh about it today, 50 years later, as you will. Love, Gramma Sherry
Hope you had a great Mother's Day! I was thinking on Sunday how it was your first official Mother's Day - LOVE it! And, I'm SO happy for you that you are now a full-time mommy and get to be with Ashlyn ALL the time! The bread story just cracks me up! I love the title...Bread Dough Monster - that's hilarious! How did the bread turn out???
